Videocon has launched a new budget smartphone called the A24. This pocket friendly smartphone running on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean is available on e-commerce sites and retail stores for Rs 4,699.
In terms of specifications, the Videocon A24 sports a 4-inch WVGA display and is powered by a dual-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. Other features included are 256MB of RAM, 3.2-megapixel rear camera, VGA front camera, FM Radio with recording capabilities, expandable memory to up to 32GB and a 1,450mAh battery.
Connectivity-wise, the device features dual-SIM card slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, but misses out on 3G capabilities. On the software front, it runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and comes preloaded with apps like Times of India, Hungama and V-Store, which will give users access to more apps.
Priced at Rs 4,699, the Videocon A24 will be up against the likes of Fly F40 and the Spice Mi-425 Stellar among others, but has the advantage of Android Jelly Bean onboard.
